Raul Matos was born in Puerto Rico where he grew up training Paso Fino horses. He
worked with and learned from three of the top trainers in our breed: Jimmy Espino,
Jorge Suarez and Kelly Cox, renown for their skill, knowledge and success in the show
ring. In Ocala Florida Raul won many titles including National Championships before
coming out west to work for El Rancho de Cache over a year ago. With him he brings
his experience, his interest in exploring a deeper knowledge of other riding disciplines
and training methods along with his gentle hand and love of horses. He enjoys sharing
his knowledge with clients and other trainers.
Mr. Matos speaks both English and Spanish and has broad experience with starting
young horses, trail riding and all show disciplines.
Mr. Matos is available to train outside horses through El Rancho de Cache at our Los
Angeles Equestrian Center location in Burbank, CA. Please enquire for an appointment.
